What the Anti-Sex Doll Community has to say!
- 25 Mar, 2020
Sex dolls are a pretty popular topic these days as people are getting more open and comfortable towards it. But all that glitters is not gold. There are people against this sex doll culture- ‘sex with sex doll’, the anti-sex doll community we call them. Their motives involve shaming this community, branding them as hypocrites and popularizing baseless opinion.
These opinions affect the lives of several individuals and hinder the closeted ones in accepting their sexuality. They are more of myths, but there are facts to every myth and require discussion.
Myth: Female Sex Dolls Objectify Women
Now that’s a big NO we believe. Contrary to this popular myth, it’s the other way around. Female sex dolls are itself objects and users consider them as women. Not just in the imagination but lifestyle as well. Doll owners treat these figurines as a real companion and maintain them accordingly. They bathe their dolls, buy them clothes and accessories, style them and love them overall.
Myth: Sex Dolls are for Men
Well, what's the ladies are going to do then? Sex dolls aren’t just manufactured to pleasure men. They have their purpose across all genders. Not just men and women, dolls are quite popular among transgenders, gays, lesbians, and bisexuals as well. Though undersold, male sex dolls are crafted for the female community with customized attributes. From dick size to color, everything the lady chooses.
Myth: Sex Doll Owners are Obnoxious
Before we begin discussing this point, better to mention, the world needs to be less hypercritical. Sexuality is personal, and whom to have sex with is a choice. A man can have sex with a man, a woman, or a doll, whichever he deems fit without causing harm. This applies to a woman too.
Sex doll owners come from very different backgrounds – race, gender, appearances, and abilities. Choosing to live life with a sex doll can have several possible reasons. It can be due to disability, facing rejection, introvert personality. Interest in sex with dolls vary from owner to owner.
Myth: Sex Dolls promote rape culture and molestation
Nobody rapes or molests their ‘love’ doll. Yes, we here highlight the word love. Dolls are a thing of adoration for the owner. They clean them, care for them, shop for them and make them pretty. Contradictorily, sex dolls help cope up with the perverted demon within. Several men are born with disturbing curiosities. To feed that nature they commit grievous crimes like rape and molestation. Child-like sex dolls help perverts adjust to their fantasies. However, dolls have no connection at all to such a sensitive issue like rape and molest. Accusing someone to be a part of this horrendous culture by owning a sex doll is somewhat a misjudgment. It is almost like counting someone guilty of a crime he didn’t commit.
Myth: The Sex Doll Community will give Rise to a Dystopian Future
The sex doll community is vulnerable and too closeted to be called a community. But predicting a future based on a numbered people’s sexual preference is lame. Yes, some men and women prefer leading life with the new technology sex dolls over a real human. The reasons are legit as well. But this necessarily does not prove the future world ‘dehumanized’.
Nobody is a perfectionist in future prediction, nor do they understand the doll community through and thorough. So, vaguely making statements without concrete proof is highly discouraged.
These are not all the myths prevalent, there’s more; like it disturbs relationships or is harmful. As the sex doll community grows, so will the anti-sex doll crowd. Remember, sexual preferences are private, and nobody has the right to judge anyone. So, whether you purchase a sex doll or not, it is your choice so choose loudly.
Have you come across people who believe in any of these opinions? What is your opinion when it comes to owning a sex doll?
